FUFA Women Super League side KCCA Women are set to reappoint Hamza Lutalo ahead of the 2026-27 campaign.
Lutalo has agreed terms with the club, formerly known as Kampala Queens, and is expected to be unveiled on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. He will succeed Asefa Firew Haile Gabreal, who departed after two seasons in charge.
Asefa’s tenure delivered the FUFA Women Super League title and KCCA Women’s first FUFA Women’s Cup trophy.
Lutalo previously led the club to its maiden FUFA Women Super League championship in the 2022-23 season. On his return to the Palace, he will be tasked with defending the Women’s Cup and reclaiming the league title in 2026-27.
KCCA Women have already added attacker Nusulah Nakintu and extended the contract of versatile defender Esther Namusoke. Catherine Nagadya, Shamusa Najjuma and Patince Nabulobi have left the club.
Their league campaign begins on Sunday, September 20, against newcomers URA Ladies FC.
